Clomid Calculator
Clomiphene (more commonly known as Clomid or Serophene) is an oral fertility medication used to induce ovulation in women who have trouble ovulating in order to help them get pregnant. The most important thing to remember is that Clomid is a medication used to induce ovulation, not necessarily pregnancy. Clomid will not get you pregnant by itself. All that it is supposed to do is help you ovulate (and unfortunately, it doesn't do it all the time). Obviously, you can only get pregnant if you ovulate so ensuring ovulation is a vital first step in achieving a pregnancy.
Clomid is a synthetic chemical medication. It is not a fertility drug per se, but it is given to induce ovulation by fooling your body into believing that there is less estrogen. Ovulation usually occurs between 5 and 9 days after taking the last Clomid pill. Keep in mind that as with all fertility treatments, there are no guarantees that you will get pregnant. Even if you do ovulate while on Clomid, you still need the egg and sperm to meet for fertilization to occur and then move into implanting in the uterus. On a positive note, many women have used Clomid, and gone on to ovulate, get pregnant, and have healthy babies. Want to know when you might ovulate while using Clomid?
