The Drano Test to Predict the Baby's Sex
Pregnancy Myths

Myth: Mixing drano with urine can detect my baby's gender.
Fact: This is not only wrong, but it's also dangerous!
Supposedly, there is something in a pregnant woman's urine that changes the color of Drano to indicate the sex of her baby. The Drano sex predictor test has been proven to be false and can actually harm whoever is conducting the test because of the possibility of a chemical reaction between the urine and Drano.
When studies were conducted at the medical school here, reasearchers wore chemical masks and used chemical hoods because of the possibility of fumes and explosion.
Currently we know of nothing that is excreted in a pregnant woman's urine and that can change the color of something else that allows us to predict the gender of her baby.
