What is Angiotensin Converting Enzyme?
Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) helps control the fluid balance outside of cells. In a clinical setting, high levels of ACE may be measured if a patient has high blood pressure, diabetes (type 1) or heart failure. Inhibitors can be given to patients to treat these conditions and help relieve symptoms.
