Alyssa Milano Goes to Prenatal Yoga
Celebrity Baby and Pregnancy
Obie Editorial Team
Alyssa Milano, who first charmed audiences as Samantha Micelli, daughter of Tony Micelli (played by Tony Danza) on Who’s the Boss during the 80’s and 90’s, and later returned to fame as Phoebe Halliwell on Charmed, is all grown up. The 38 year-old actress and singer, who quickly went from adorable to beloved sex symbol after growing up before our eyes on television, is still as radiant as ever, but this time it’s her pregnancy glow (and the prenatal yoga classes she’s been seen attending!) that’s got us captivated.
Alyssa announced her pregnancy with husband, agent Dave Bugliari, in February of 2011 and is due in September 2011. This is the couple’s first child, and they are said to be expecting a baby boy. Milano has taken to Twitter to discuss everything from gestational diabetes glucose testing, pregnancy symptoms, to dancing on stage with Prince (flaunting her beautiful baby bump). Alyssa has also been photographed throughout her pregnancy attending prenatal yoga classes, sporting that happy, relaxed, after-yoga “glow” that so many women swear by.
Prenatal yoga is a gentle but effective method of exercise, stretching, and relaxation that is suitable for any and all pregnant women (and their partners). Based on an ancient practice, the prenatal yoga that we know today consists of a series of poses (postures) and breathing exercises, combined in order to strengthen, relax, heal, and prepare the body from the inside out. Prenatal yoga is highly recommended throughout pregnancy and is safe during all trimesters of pregnancy, because the exercises and postures can be easily modified to fit each woman’s unique bodily experiences and needs. Prenatal yoga can help you ease your way through pregnancy and birth.
Milano is not the first Hollywood celebrity to praise prenatal yoga. Stars like Alicia Silverstone, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Gisele Bundchen (amongst many others) have famously relied on prenatal yoga to keep them feeling healthy and grounded during their pregnancies.

Congratulations Alyssa, and thanks for inspiring us to stay healthy and fit just like you!
