Less Pain After an HSG

Infertility Tests

Q: Is it possible that I have less pain after my hysterosalpingogram (HSG)?

A: An HSG or hysterosalpingogram is a test to check the openness, the patency of the fallopian tubes. One of the things the HSG sometimes does is to open up adhesions and scar tisue around the fallopian tubes. Adhesions can give you pain. So it's possible that you previously had adhesions and now they are gone, hence why you have less pain.
