Fertility and Ovulation Calculator and Calendar
Most women are more likely to get pregnant if they have sex and intercourse during the most fertile period - the 5-6 days just before and the day of ovulation. Using an ovulation calculator to assess your fertility may help improve your chances getting pregnant. The babymed fertility and ovulation calculator calculates your fertile days. Ovulation usually occurs about 14 days before the start of your next menstrual period, so in the average women with a 28-day cycle ovulation happens around cycle day 14 or 15. Our fertility and ovulation calculator helps you figure out when you're likely to ovulate next, but you'll also need to know the approximate length of your menstrual cycle.
Your menstrual cycle begins with the first day your period starts (called "Cycle Day 1"), that is the first day you see bright red blood. It ends the day before your next period begins. The average length of a menstrual cycle is 28 days. However, it is not at all unusual for women to have longer or shorter cycles with a 21-35 day normal range and our fertility calculator uses 28 days as a default. If you're not yet pregnant and you want to determine the length of your cycle, use the calendar to track your menstrual cycle.
