Why chart?

If you are anxious to get pregnant soon, learning how to keep a BBT (basal body temperature) chart is vital. Here are 8 reasons to chart:

1. To see when and if you ovulate
2. To calculate the cycle length
3. To calculate the follicular and the corpus luteum phases
4. To assess if you had sex at the right time

When a woman is pregnant, her temperature remains elevated beyond the 14 days after ovulation.
