What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment with openness and curiosity.
Mindfulness has a variety of research-backed impacts, including a reduction in stress, and improvements in job satisfaction, emotional regulation, and focus. Mindfulness involves focusing attention on the present moment and observing thoughts and sensations without judgment.

Mindfulness can prevent menopausal symptoms

Mindfulness practices, such as deep breathing and staying focused in the present, may help ease menopause symptoms like hot flashes and the stress that can accompany menopause. Mindfulness may be associated with fewer menopausal symptoms for women, according to a Mayo Clinic study recently published. Researchers discovered that being mindful may be especially helpful for menopausal women struggling with irritability, anxiety, and depression.

Prior research has shown practicing mindfulness can reduce stress and improve quality of life.
