I have been here for a long time, and have been ttc longer than that. I decided to post here to lessen the stress and to vent and pray and hope for the impossible. I start my first BCP pill in around the 24-26th of April.
If anyone has questions that pertain to ttc, they can email me at ladygrayer@sbcglobal.net and ask here as well. I know that I will have the support of the true friends that I hold very dear on here and will not stress over any excess above just the IVF cycle itself because this is a very hormone filled time and emotional time because of meds and such. I will try to keep my journey as up to date as possible and continue to support you all.
Thank you in advance for your love , thoughts and respect.

Kim,
Do you blog? Just curious. I started blogging to do the same thing (vent, focus on ttc) and there are a ton of women going through IVF or who have gone through it too. If you want I can find some links for you? I don't know if that would help at all.

Anyway, bring on April!! :)

Hi Kim,
I am soooo glad you are posting your IVF journey here. You are absolutely right - it is a very emotional time for a lot of reasons. I will be here to support you as for me it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I think having acupuncture immediately before and after the transfer really helped.

I will be praying the entire time for you as I am confident the first time will bring you the baby you have waited all too long for. As you said, just take it one step at a time and it won't seem overwhelming. I did the same thing.

Ape is right - BM has a lot of problems. I couldn't get on earlier after I posted in the 2WW. When I got on tonight - I can't read any of my posts in full as they are 1/5th the size they should be as everthing is cut off. Luckily I saw enough of your post to understand you were posting in the IVF section.

I may still be right behind you in this IVF journey.

Steph,
Thanks, I really appreciate it.. i have been overly emotional lately..did u go through this? I mean the what ifs, and the apprehension of side affects of the shots, the 2 hour trips and staying with dh's sister, the kids will be with their dad(no matter where they are, i always worry) and dh is a beacon of support but I miss having my parents to share (especially Mom) and I guess i just got used to the fact that I am barren. Dh says i can be the most confident and positive for everyone but so hopeless for myself. I told him I had high hopes when i had the tubal reversal but month after month that turned into years and not even a positive pregnancy test has made me old mentally. I appreciate you and want to be a support for you also. No matter what you decide on pregnancy.

Kim- I cannot imagine how many different emotions you are surely experiencing at the same time! I am ignorant to the IVF process and I know that I am new here but I can't wait to listen/read and help support you through this!

Hi Kim,
I could finally read your posts and the other ladies posts on my 2WW thread. I didn't really go through the what-if's. I must have had my head buried in the sand. I'm an eternal optimist and have rarely been a realist. This can be both good and bad.

As a result, I just automatically assumed that IVF would work the first time. I was shocked and stunned when it didn't. I went through the "OMG's" when I found out they retrieved 11 eggs and only 4 were mature. Ugghhh.... That is when reality set in somewhat for me but then I said well, they will only place 3 in me anyhow and we have 4 so I'm good to go. I am not a worrier when I'm getting help i.e. ART. I'm more of a worrier with my natural cycles but yet I have only conceived naturally and never with ART so go figure....

Later, at my consultation with the RE in NYC he said that they made a mistake and retrieved my eggs one day too early in his opinion. Soooo.... I don't know what to think about IVF for me. That made me an optimist again but I now realize that age definitely makes a huge difference and those under 40 have excellent success rates so I'm confident all will go well for you. I'm in a whole other boat.

I'll be with you and support you as I know this is not easy. I think AF will be here tomorrow - that's when she's due.

Hi Steph!! Im so excited to hear from you.

I never looked from it from your point of view. I just think alot of mine has to do with my anxiety disorder. I am trying to get over this and just trust my RE..he is afterall, a wonderful talented very upbeat confident guy.

I have to say that I do not think 40 has anything to do with age. I disbute all the age thing..I think it depends on 50% genetics and 50%stress free..i need to work on the stress free part. I have had a really horrible week with that. (had nothing to do with IVF)

I have kinda slacked off my weight loss and working out ..so i have to get back into that. Quick, if you know what I mean? I haven't gained but i feel more flabby and it affects my overall overlook of daily life. Exercise does indeed make me a healthier person totally.

So, AF will be here soon? Do you think you will do the BCP's with the Lupron? I wont have my u/s-mock transfer till the 26th of April if my cycle cooperates... Then i will start the IVF journey with BCP's for 3 weeks, overlapping Lupron and suppression, then stims and so on....

I am not getting my hopes up because i have been told it doesn't work on the first time or the statistics are low...we will see..I wish i could just believe but , alas, I am used to things going sour, so to say.

So, thanks for cheering me on, I can be totally positive about everyone else but myself.Imagine that,eh?

Kim,
I dont see why it wouldn't work on the first attempt for you. I am also an optimist. I go inot every pregnancy thinking that this will work etc.......

You are going to do just fine. If I need to come out there and be your cheerleader I will.
